i really love that The Voice just gets to the performances and doesn't make u sit through a 2 hour marathon of back stories and bad auditions. i watched this morning thinking i was going to have to fw through a bunch of shit and they immediately got to the first singer. bravo. ^^ thanks for that audio. I don't have TV now, so I'm glad I got to hear it, tho' I suppose I can watch the video on nbc.com tonight. I thought Adam Levine's "I Wanna Be Your Lover" was pretty good - didn't know he did falsetto at all. I always thought that was a good song, fits very well w/ disco (imagine Donna Summer singing it!) but Prince sings it w/ an edge. Not sure about the Blake Shelton countrified "Kiss"

Country music is soo weak as a whole. It's the easiest genre to create. All the music sounds the same, theres nothing creative about it. It's where pop stars go who can't hack it anymore. Prime example Darious Rucker. |

I thought they did pretty good. On a side note, A friend of the family (Tony Lucca) was picked as a contestant last night. He is gonna be coached by Adam. Tony has Mad Skillz. Go Tony!!! Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |

I agree dandee - I liked Adam the best. But I've him on youtube doing 1999 w/ his band (Maroon 5) and, while it's great to see an actual band playing that song, you DO really realize that Prince is quite a good vocalist when you hear others attempting his songs.
