It should have been a bonus track on the actual album instead.

They didn't do that back then. They had B-sides.

falloff

That's true. There was no such thing as a "hidden" track on an album either, although Prince got as close as you can with the backwards talking at the end of "Darling Nikki".

And I guess if you count the playing of "Girl" backwards and getting a different song called "Boy" as a hidden track, that would be cool.

The more I think of it, the more I believe the "Girl"/"Boy" recording is one of the greatest technological achievements in the history of recorded music.

I guess I've only heard either extended version or regular version. Can someone please clarify the distinction between them. I excitedly acquired the "extended" version, but it sounded just exactly like the version I was already used to. sad

The Extended version has an extra 2 minute jam in the middle of it. Length of the Extended is about 4:54.

Keep your headphones on.

"Alexa De Paris" is a masterpiece! The Parade era itself is my favorite era of Prince. Everything was elevated & it was bigger than just being raunchy for the hell of it. The sound was mature & sophisticated, but funky all @ the same time. & I absolutely loved the orchestra work by Clare Fischer [R.I.P.]. Anything that's an outtake from that era [or released] always sparks my interest very much so nod

الحيوان النادلة ((((|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|)))) ...AND THAT'S THE WAY THE "TITTY" MILKS IT!
