True, I dont like how the segues in Exodus flow with the music, but oh those segues are great!

The mashed potato girl intro!! Listening to Prince crack up as he says "ya want some birdseed or something?" kills me everytime!!

And Xtv...I can do without Sonny's lack of vocal training, mainly as an actor but also as a singer

I cant bear Tony M...if Gold Nigga was an instrumental or all done by P, or even Sonny!
but Tony is a dark dark spot on that record.

I would have loved more NPG albums as side projects for Prince (similar to how he used The Time to release more RnB flavoured music)

Goldnigga = interesting but not really one for me
Exodus = excellent with some brilliant songs (less segues would be good though)

I would have liked another NPG album with the Exodus band (ie Sonny T etc)

It would also have been good if "Peace" had seen the light of day (even though that is the NPG with Kirky J)
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

That very nearly happened!
It was gonna be called 'New Power Soul', and was
gonna feature left over tracks from the 'Exodus'
sessions. (Prince later re-used the name for the
'98 NPG album)

I made myself a CD containing precisely those leftovers from 'Exodus', since the demos can be found in such great sound quality ( all except 'Get Wild [Prince vocal]' (5:37), ugh!).

The track list is as follows:

The Exodus Has Begun (10:46)
Get Wild [Sonny Thompson vocal] #2 (4:32)
Get Wild [Sonny Thompson vocal] #3 (5:57)
New Power Soul #1 (3:57)
DJ Seduces Sonny (0:45)
Sonny Turns The TV Off (0:49)
It Takes 3 (4:00)
Hallucination Rain (11:07)
Spooky Soup (0:11)
NPG Outro (0:12)
Slave 2 The System #1 (1:00)
Acknowledge Me (5:16)
Super Hero (2:45)
Outa-Space (4:34)0
Mad [Sonny Thompson vocal] 5:27
The Funky Design [Sonny Thompson vocal] (4:20)
Sonny (0:49)
Love...Thy Will Be Done [Sonny Thompson vocal] #3 (4:39)
Funky (4:130
Proud Mary (4:17)
