Prince in Mpls papers?

It's incomplete, but just looking through the old ads for shows, found it a fascinating step back in time.

http://www.mndaily.com/archives/pdfs

I saw an ad for a 1980 show here:

http://www.mndaily.com/si...df#page=08

There's prob. more...

What? Maynard Ferguson in concert for only $5.50, plus student discount available? Where's my time machine?

Oh, and the Prince tix were $7.50.

Awesome!

The article on Bruce Springsteen and bootlegging about halfway down the second link sounds like one long direct quote from the org!

Does anyone else find it ironic that Prince's show was "rescheduled"? LOL, all I could think of was Croke Park.

Oh my, such simpler times. People who lived in the 80s shouldn't be depressed at all, yall had a Hell of a time.

And I enjoyed the Purdue tidbit under SPORTS in the 1980 article... haha, Boilermaker in the house ova here. They just got done with reconstructing the Mackey Arena too

Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

Oh, is it only now that you notice the effect of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy?

Didn't you see the graph that shows that since they are in existence the dollar last lost almost all of it's value?

They make Prince concerts more expensive in nominal terms.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Feel free to check other dates, it's a lot of searching. It goes back decades, so maybe P's dad's in there somewhere as well...
