Don't know if this is the wrong forum... Why would it be.

But what your post reminded me of is not necessarily the difficulty in navigating all internet sources of a Prince-ly nature, but the attitude of some folk "back in the days", and still now to some extent, to keep those sources and how to use them unnecessarily secretive.

Sure, I know why it can't be posted on the Org, and I appreciate that.

But among each other in private communications I remember times you'd practically have to suck some d..k to find out where you'd find something, especially if you were a newbie or computer illiterate. Some kind of power trip I guess...

If we all feel (and I think this is a common consensus) that paying for bootlegs is not a good thing, wouldn't it be nice if it could be communicated in an open and simple manner how to find stuff? Even though I consider myself a bit of a compu geek, it would have saved me some sleepless nights back in the early days of [OOPS -snip-], Napster, The Royal Hub, etc...

We can only dream...

EDIT: Basically I'm just saying, don't buy bootlegs, especially the free ones. You're gettin' f...ked. Hard. I'm not promoting illegal Org behaviour.

Because you mentioned the name of a site that people use and don't want sued.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, THAT site. You're right. Better remove that one (even though it's hardly a secret, even to Prince). The one's i've mentioned don't exist anymore.

not really, if you know the name of the boot a simple google search will usually bring up the correct place to acquire.

And it's only boots i acquire, if it's available to buy i will.

It's actually very easy to find whatever u need for FREE. Just try to figure it out once and for all, spend maybe a couple of hours looking for the correct places 2 go 2 and the correct softwares 2 use (you will need both for maximum efficiency) and I promise u that there isn't ONE single bootleg... ooops, no it's even BETTER that that : I promise u that there isn't one single record ever released on this earth by any artist that u won't be able to get 4 free!

And believe me, I know what I'm talking about
