Questions About the "Triple Threat" tour

Been reading about the "1999" Tour with The Time and Vanity 6 which inspired a few questions:

  • Is there footage or photos The Time when they performed in thier wigs and fake beards?
  • Is there footage of Jerome "playing" bass (following Jam & Lewis being fired)?
  • Who backed up Vanity 6 on the shows when The Time weren't allow to play?
  • Are there any rehearsal tapes circulating of Vanity 6 or The Time
  • Is the "Homecoming Show" the last footage of the original Time (before the reunion, that is)
  • Is there footage of the Minneapolis Music Awards where Prince performed with Jesse Johnson on drums

Thanks to any of you who may have info!

I personally haven't seen any photos of The Time in their wigs and fake birds, nor any footage of Jerome miming on the bass.

But with regards to the third question, I believe that The Time still backed up V6 even when they weren't on the bill themselves, because Prince pulling them from the bill was always a last minute decision.

There's no circulating rehearsal tapes of either The Time or V6.

NOTE: Apparently, it was never officially called 'The Triple Threat Tour', it was the '1999' tour.

As to what happened when The Time weren't about - Prince would have backed up some of the instruments for Vanity 6.

Thanks for the correction but yeah I knew that isn't the official tour name. I didn't want some to think I was referring to his tour from the year 1999 -- you know how folks can be 'round here sometimes wink
