Condorcet Poll: Best Prince Songs (First Round)-Final Results Available

UPDATE: The poll is now closed. Click here to see the results:

http://www.cs.cornell.edu...thm=runoff

Hi again,

The series of polls that electricberet and I have been carrying out since April is coming to an end. Those of you who have been following it know that all Prince albums, his A-Sides, B-Sides, unreleased songs and associated artists songs have already been ranked. Therefore, we already have partial results, frequently very interesting.

But the final aim of this process is to obtain a list of the best Prince songs, as voted by his fans in prince.org. Electricberet has explained our methodology on this matter here:

http://prince.org/msg/7/371163

The first round, which is the one presented in this thread, includes the Wild Card songs: a list of 62 tunes from which the 25 that rank higher will make it into the final round. In the final round, the songs that were already qualified will compete with the first 25 in the Wild Card list.

CLICK HERE TO VOTE IN THIS FIRST ROUND:

Should you have any doubts concerning the methodology, why these particular songs have been selected, why your favourite song isn't included... please discuss it in the methodology thread mentioned above.

Please do not discuss the results while the poll is still opened. It will be closed next Saturday.

You'll be familiar with all or the majority of the songs here, so you're sure to have fun ranking them. Enjoy!

Thanks! wink

Thanks for starting the poll, Javi! I'm eager to see which songs make the final round.

Thanks to those who have voted so far! As explained here, this is only the first round, and there will be a final round with more songs:

Thank you, also, for not reporting the specific results before the poll is closed.

The poll is now closed. As stated in the first post, the 25 highest ranked songs have qualified for the final round.

The results of the present poll confirm Joy In Repetition as a favourite of the majority of the fans. I agree with it, I ranked it #2.

"Mountains" was an AQ song, which means it advances directly to the final round based on its performance in the earlier polls. The songs ranked here are the ones that didn't make the AQ cut. See here for a list of which songs will be in the final round of polling:
