In my opinion Ida Nielsen is the best addition to Prince's bands since John Blackwell.

Great player, who knows how to play Prince's bass grooves the way they should be.

Beautiful lady too. Seems very nice. She should take the spotlight more often.

Summer it was because now we have colder and wetter weather, structurally.
And Kopenhagen it was. 2nd festival day?

The NPG Festival was held this summer not last summer .

Summer is over here. So it was last summer.
Or do you imply that 'last'means somethign else than 'afgelopen' in Dutch?

Ok, is that a capo on her bass or is that a "scrunchie" to mute the strings? If it's a "scrunchie", brilliant!

It's a scrunchie. A lot of bassists use them. nod very helpful! I asked a friend this weekend about covered hair/rubber bands. Wondering which to use for my bass. hmm

Co-sign. It helps with keeping unwanted strings from ringing as we bassist play.

I really like Ida.

She's very cool on stage. And it's nice to see her eyes on P, so she's prepared to join him on whatever musical road he chooses to go at that moment.

I didn't know she collaborated with Zap Mama. I liked them a lot.

And her anecdote about Prince deciding at the spot what song they would do Live on tv?!

Wow.

Just imagine the band's nerves.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

There's just something about women who know how to slap that...ahem...bass...I can't quite put my finger on it, but it gets me everytime biggrin
