An amazing album, love the track, 'Elixir'. Whenever I listen to this I put it on repeat like 10 times! Also love 'Feel Good...', 'Valentina', Ol' Skool Co.' and 'No More Candy'.

When it comes to 'colonized mind':

Using the slave / colonisation-label combined with ignorant shit about evolution and religion is simply a no-go area for me.

If one of my friends or family-members would talk that away, i would fear for their mental health.

Some others might find some wisedom / reflection into it, but to me its simply so offputting allready on a surface-level that i aint bothered to look further into those lyrics. On gutfeeling they are pisspoor and annoying allready.

The same issue i allready had with the entire Rainbow Children Album and the lyrics of several songs after that: The Word, Chelsea Rodgers to name a few.

I don't take ignorant, shortminded shit from people who I love and care for, why should i give an artist who expresses himself that way the benefit of doubt?

Nope, not at all, like its is so black and white or superficial.

IMO Prince's recent lyrics about social and religious issues are so very dogmatic, shortminded and first of all: confused, i can't relate to them at all.

What i especially hate about these lyrics is that he presents himself as some wise Mr. know-it-all, when on a philosophical level his lyrics are just piss-poor.
