Sunrise/Sunset: Prince Music to Begin and End The Day With

I love to begin and end each day with a song.

When I’m in Prince Mode, I begin my day with “Pop Life” because it reminds me that the day may not be perfect because life is not perfect.

At the end of the day, I listen to “I Will.” For me, it is a mantra for overcoming life’s difficulties with dignity and optimism.

So, what is your Prince sunrise/sunset song? biggrin

Prince music? Nada. But, I would say "Golden Time of Day" by Maze ft. Frankie Beverly is great to play at sunset, especially during the spring/summer.

I am so surprised to see something that I totally agree with. Although this summer at Sunset I listened to "Run For Cover," by Basia...It was a great outdoor sunset song.

I really depend on the radio stations to get me through the entire day, but if I were to choose two Prince songs I would choose...

"Love to the 9's" for morning, & "Slow Love," I guess for evening.

It's an uphill climb to the finish line.

Javi

I'd start the day with a sunny tune from Around The World In A Day. Pop Life would be fine, but also Paisley Park or Raspberry Beret.

I'd end the day with Last December.

A day like that can't be bad.

Never really done that, since I start my iTunes when I arrive at work and stop it when my day at the office ends...and they in album alphabetic order...

But for me, starting a day with Take me with u must be a very good way to start a day. I love that song! heart

I agree with Dreamin about U for sunset... fitting. I actually listen to Don't Play me a lot in the evening too. nod

Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''
If you can't be nice to someone on the net, you probably ain't worth much talking to in real life either.

I've noticed that, when my son gets cranky at night, I can usually quiet him down by playing "Bob George." Good thing he's too young to understand the lyrics.

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

lol That's how you do it. My mom didn't allow me to listen to Prince, so I had to sneak around at late hours and break-in my brother's collection. I always thought "Little Red Corvette" was just about a car. When I was a kid I used to say, "Prince must really love cars to make a song about one." Then I grew older, re-listened and eek . lol

Did you think "Scarlet Pussy" was about a friendly neighborhood cat? lol

Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

My wife drives a red car. I occasionally have been known to say, "Give me the keys; I'm going to try to drive your little red love machine." I'm not sure that she gets the reference (although I've probably played the song to her about a dozen times).

The best Prince song schedule during a day for me is to start with a midtempo song to "wake up" gently, like for instance Dear Mr. Man. Then listen to uptempo songs later in the day, like I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man or When U Were Mine, then end the day with a rather slow song, perhaps The Love We Make or Sometimes It Snows In April. Best to stay away from Somebody's Somebody though, if Prince is worried about not being able to sleep, then how am I gonna be able to sleep? wink
