How is it possible...

As u read this, pick something like Peach or endorpin machine off youtube or anything, i cant keep up anymore...

How does he do this, I am a huge football (soccer) fan, and even great teams dont span 30+ yrs and they have a squad of 25+ highly paid, trained individuals, for example FC Barcelona...it is absolute lunacy that one person has created all this...

I actually think i will write a book about him, I originally only wanted to write a chapter in my own book about him, but recently I have realised that, he is endless, it is simply mindblowing...

BTW, I apologise if I am boring U...

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Someone/something is telling us something, last night in a fit of rage i asked people on facebook if they had ever been somewhere, basically coz i want to go somewhere, replies were zero, appears no one has ever been somewhere...but they have all been everywhere... shrug

I already know one that is on here, i also have some keen writers, photograhers and other people involved in the business...I think this should be a project and a statement of our gratitude to Prince...

-Will do. Do we have to get and kind of you know, "special permission" to start this?

-Do we have to look into the 'legal aspect' of it first? I don't know where to start?

-I hope this book project gets finished in a couple of years or so, maybe when Prince gets his masters back.

-Hopefully Prince will be in a good mood and throw a book release & 'gained the masters' of the universe party at paisley park. biggrin

Good luck! Sounds like a fun project! smile

If you're looking for article-sized contributions, you're welcome to this - http://prince.org/msg/7/345502

It's from Oct last year, but the core of it is still very relevant.

There are plenty of posts already on this and other fan sites that express people's feelings about Prince, how he's influenced their life, their playing, their perceptions and appreciation of music, even their spirituality and I'm sure much more; also there are a number of really interesting stories about fans meeting Prince and other band members, or even just really moving concert experiences.

Some of these (along with contributions specifically for the book, of course) could be woven into your overall story of Prince from the fans' point of view.

If you were willing to, you could even devote a chapter to the 'darker side' of Prince fandom; ie. examining what happened with the online sites (official and unofficial) and legal action, etc... It could be an objective (as much as these things can be) telling of the saga, punctuated by more emotional articles or posts demonstrating how this rift formed between Prince and some of his most devoted fans - as sad a story as it is, it's also quite fascinating, particularly to new and/or casual fans who were otherwise oblivious to what was going on.

There's a lot of potential to come up with an interesting, thought-provoking book that is a resource, a tribute and an enjoyable read for fans and curious observers alike.

A literary portrait of Prince, as told by his fans...nice.

I think you are better equipped to write this than me, you have just put the blue print down...

I dont really like the "darker side" bit, but i know what you mean, but there is something different about how he worked in that realm, almost like a gardner taking removing the weeds...

If I we can ever take this off the ground, i want it to be something that will educate the masses, not just about Prince, but life...

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

If anyone can do it Whitnail, you can... I think it's a great idea, and I think you have the sensitivity to make it 'different' to the other books that have been written about him, I like the idea of it not just being about Prince but life, from a fan's point of view, could be very good ... anything I can do to help, just let me know, kind of at a loose end myself ! wink GO FOR IT !!!!
