so when i saw prince live a month or 2 ago, there were several videos playing on the big screen above the stadium. one of them had prince wearing sunglasses and a strange fur looking coat on, can anyone tell me what it was from this terrible description?

He's got a lot of songs wearing that outfit. I know what you mean, but you will need to check utube maybe?!

i think he was sitting down in the back of a room sortof bobbing around, he had mirrored shades on, long hair. it kinda looked like sign o the times era, but maybe not

Don't you remember any parts of the song? If not, why not? Are you new to Prince?

It wasn't Prince, it was Andre Cymone, and the song was Dance Electric. I thought it was Prince at first too (they look eerily similar to each other).

i couldnt hear anything in a packed stadium wtih thousands of people making noise. and i guess i am knew to his videos since i was either not alive or too young when most of them were made

Check one of his other posts where he goes into more detail about the video. It is definitely Andre's Dance Electric video. Andre looked VAGUELY like the SOTT era Prince in that video.

I know what video you mean and it's not Andre or SOTT it was a blue fur coat and he's playing a bass guitar. I think it's from the rave are but I cannot remember the song he's singing although I have seen the clip numerous times

But he didn't do any Rave videos with a fur coat on. He did wear a white faux-lamb hair coat or something back then (as seen in the Rave booklet).

It could be NPS if it isn't Andre, but his description sounds a lot like the Andre video. I don't know of any NPS videos where he was wearing fur stuff unless its the coat he wore on the cover of the "Come On" single? Though, I do not recall him wearing mirrored glasses in that video.

guess i should have replied sooner, i looked up the dance electric vid, and it is infact the one i was looking for
