Question

So, I was watching Purple Rain for the first time, in years yesterday. There is this scene. Does anyone know the name of that weird music that's playing in the background before Prince and Apollonia first love/sexy scene?

You mean the backwards-crying, "King Kong" bit?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yeah I think that's it. He mention something like "it sounds like she is crying doesn't it?"

Do you know the name of it?

I've never heard of it having a name.

No, that background music was never released. To me, the reversed female voice sounds like Vanity's orgasm from Vibrator played backwards. Vibrator is another unreleased track but the vocals from that track appear on the Come album. Damn, I've just gone crosseyed. eek

the movie has alternate versions of Purple Rain (he listens on cassette) and an alternate Computer Blue (when he comes in late for band rehearsal).
