I just got both versions and I like this copy better, it's strange to have two copies of the same thing but my 'puter has more than enough space to fill. Cooliosis phymosis.

Why is it strange to have two sources (not copies) of a certain gig? I may have 4 or 5 in some cases, which is logical since you get the first one out and then the sucessive upgrades.

This release is fantastic (the recording, I don't like the concert). Beats Updown's any day of the week.

I can't compare with the other version.

But as a b o o t l e g this is very good.

I just need the wife to push me around a little and spill red wine on me and it will be like the real event!!!

Wow, this is a really nice memoir of that concert....only being able to hear and not see makes you appreciate the sheer musicianship behind it all too!

Thanks - I just hope a DVD version surfaces sometime as that was an amazing perfomance wink

Yep, the quality is better, no fluctuations in sound, less muffling and crowd, very clear sound, funny listening to P doing the soundcheck live, he spots everything...

Massive thank you to the guys/gals who do this, incredible work, you have my deepest admiration...

Damn! It sounds like it's time to get a NAS server, don'tcha think? A 4 TB or 6 TB monster! It'll cut down on all the corded external drives you have to hook up to your laptop(s) when you wanna retrieve something from it. Plus, every PC in your network'll be able to access the contents. You can even plug your existing external drives into the NAS server to have everything centralized. I went through two externals before I said enough was enough. now, I have 2 NAS servers too (one 4 TB and one 6 TB). lol

Unfortunately, I've got shitty broadband too. The best option I have where I live right now is Clear, the wireless broadband service. and if you do any small amount of research on the net, you'll find PLENTY of dissatisfied customers due to speed/throttling issues, broken "promises", etc... I average about 3-4 Mbps download.

Anyway, sorry for going off course.... razz

lol Thanks for the info, how much do those things cost anyway, are they easy to set up, are they stable or does every thing have to be backed up again and again...

On the other hand I did manage to wipe 10 yrs of work in 10 mins last yr and reformatted the disc to boot...opps, but got fortunate and found an excellent retrieval program from avanquest and got 99.9% of it back, even if it took weeks. The plus point of this is I finally reorganised my folders etc... if I had found out about TRH a few yrs earlier before they pulled it down I probably would have needed at leat 2 TB´s sad

I am with BT/Sky broadband here in London, promises up to 20mbs, bit I get 1.3 or so, which is a killer as I was used to 16mbs in Germany, will probably switch to Virgin Media once the fibre optic network is set up where I live...

Anyway, back to the music...Confusion version is excellent wink

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

The 6TB one from Seagate cost me about $430 (which I just bought close to a month ago), and the 4TB one cost me close to the same when I first purchased it back in late 2009. They're fairly easy to setup, but I'm an "IT professional", so I may be biased a bit. Really all it is is plugging it into the router, plug in the power adapter, and then install the "Discovery" software that comes with it on your laptop.

From there, that discovery app will "find" the server on your network and you can log into via the web browser to change any settings. The only changes out of the gate I made were to assign it a static IP address and to give it a RAID 0 configuration (it comes in RAID 1 by default). I'm using it for storage purposes, so I don't feel the need for the drive to be mirrored and thereby cutting my available disk space in half. It does have a backup feature as part of the software, but I have yet to try it, so I can't speak on it. biggrin

So, I have a couple of shares set up for quick access to whatever folders I need. Moving a 700 MB file from the laptop to it isn't the quickest in the world, but it's not the slowest either. I don't have the read/write speeds in front of me at the moment, but I'm sure if you look up the Seagate BlackArmor NAS 220 (my specific model), you'll find it in the specs somewhere. And of course, there are other NAS servers out there, so if you're really thinking about getting one, definitely do some homework first!
