Respecting his right to actually verbalize is thoughts has zero to do with defending his thoughts on religion. I'm agnostic so if I were as uptight about his views as many of you seem to be i would have signed off eons ago.

I respect his right to "verbalize" his nutty views. It is a neverending source of amusement, as are many of the posts in this forum. I wish he'd do it in a song, though, so I would get some funky beats to go along with it.

Maybe the ensuing drama will motivate Prince to do an other FU track like PFUNK. That was good. But it would have to be done with all acousitc instruments, no digital processing, and performed door to door like a singing telegram.

Alright; now that I have carefully given my time in reading other comments here on this article, I think it's safe to say I should wait till the FULL article comes out. (I am fully aware how easy it is; for words to be taken out of context, while also being equally heavily fabricated.) HOWEVER, this does not disqualify the reality that his mindset NOW is very parallel to some of these assessments partially. It might be a bit 'sensationalized' but I am not that much of a Fan of his; to say he did not say this in some aspects. I LOVE Prince, and I think he is one of the most amazing artists of our time. BUT just as he is allowed to criticize/make statements to everyone else, I am allowed to do the same to HIM.

I am not going to play the blame game, as I did before blaming Larry Graham, or the death of his son, the conversion to a Jehovah's witness, and the divorce with Matye Garcia, etc, to be all responsible for his current or previous choices. These things are SURELY influences but by no means directly associated to the way he does things now. I KNOW it's up to Prince to move on and respond accordingly to the way things go on in his life...as it is with the rest of us. He seems to be clouded with the influence of "Watchtower" so much that he has lost his sense of reality. IMO. Sure he can blame the internet on some accounts, but he has himself to blame as well. He seems to not have once blamed his own reasoning for failure. I am not that naive to believe it's all the record industries fault or the internet.

AND Prince, while you do believe in theocratic order, not everyone does. Everyone is entitled a choice. You use to say: "If I see 11, U can say it's 7, still I wish U heaven". As far as him never creating a new album, that would suck, but at least we have the archive of his old material. lol. (I only say it would suck because I became a fan via 20Ten..which fell into all his other albums) I wish he would release those songs from his vault and we can see what he has for us. Whatever it is Prince is up to, I find it an adventure. I am a loyal fan of his, but I am not stupid. He needs to realize it's his fans that brought him where he is now. The label distributed your work to us, and WE invested in you. AM I saying he is a product of us? NO...he isn't. But I mean somethings need to change, starting off with some of his perspectives. Yeah but it wouldn't have happened. Even with his "love song" to Reagan ("Ronnie Talk to Russia"), Prince was too wild to even step FOOT on the White House at that particular time especially for his explicit and dirty songs/image at the time. But I doubt they let him in NOW.
