Personal request to prince (please do not read unless you are prince) Hi prince,
12 june is my birthday, 41 years old. I'm getting old, year by year and I begin to think that, before or late, I'll die. It could happens. I think many things about the death, but one thing I'll think about death is that I could not listen all the songs you have in your vault. If I'll die, I'll die without your music inside me. Ok, I have a lot of your music inside me, but I'll die without "all my dreams" o "strange ways to say I love u" or all the other songs I know you have done and I can not listen in a regular way inside me.
So, I have a personal request for my birthday. Let me buy one of those song. Release in digital one of that song 12 june, so I can wake up, buy the song, and be happy for my birthday listening one song from your vault. "All my dreams", "strange ways to say I love u", "in a large room with no light", "neon telephone" are from my favorite songs I'd like to listen. I think your cover of Purcell'"Wondrous Machine" could be great, but I fear you never done a cover of Purcell'"Wondrous Machine". Anyway, if you'll make a cover of Purcell'"Wondrous Machine" I'll be happy to listen it.
I know you have many problems, commercial and legal stuff, but I know that you can manage your music for the things you know are important, like positive karma. So I know you can do this.

You know that releasing a song, on your birthday, would influence Prince his karma?
Maybe there is something lost in translation here, but to me, it sounds presumptuous. And the karma comment, sounds as spiritual blackmail to me.
There are thousans of hard core Prince fans, who have been his fans for more then 20 years. We all have our birthdays. We all want Prince to release a song especially for us, on our birthday. Or better, play a private concert. (By the way, Prince, my birthday is in January, if you'r not occupied, will you play with me on my birthday? Or any other day, actually?)
So, how come that Prince can build up his personal positive karma, by releasing a song that you want to hear on your birthday?
I understand that you would want to be able to buy those songs. I agree.
However, how is it possible that Prince his karma is influenced at all by fullfilling your request?

I think I have been misunderstanded. I dont want the song only for me, oh no. This can kill my karma and I have not two million dollars in my bank. At least, I don't think. Instead, I want to open my birthday to all the people than are listening prince right now: 12 june everyone could buy "strange ways to say I love you" or "all my dreams" or the Purcell's cover. If only prince decide about this. I'm not presumptuous, I'm only a intermediary. Un maieuta. Why 12 june? Dear dJJ is not presumptuous. I choose my birthday because is a simple sign of the time that is burning year by year. I was walking and I ask to myself, well, what is gonna happen if prince will release "all my dreams" when you will be 51 years old? Or 61 years old? How long can you have a pleasure to listen songs composed when you was 16? Time passes and people changes hair, tastes, teeth. Will be a day when I don't care about the princes outtakes, or Daisy's lovers. Let the love flow now, from 1986 to 2011.

I got both "Cybersingle" and 'Planet Earth', for free, on my birthday....
But, in both cases, I'm sure it was a coincidence. I doubt Prince planned it that way just for me.

It was Prince himself who wanted you to have a great birthday and therefore released them on your birthday. I expect my birthday releas next year.

someone should make a collection of all the letters here that were ever written to Prince
and then move them into the Recycle Bin
and then delete the contents of the Recycle Bin
and then make a rule that nobody can start a thread like this ever again

Why start at 1986? You do know that Prince had a career before 86. Since you've heard all those songs anyway why should he give you anything? Let alone sell it to you. What makes you so special? I get it , because ... you want it. Ok.

Just looked it up (was going by memory before), Cybersingle actually came out the day before my birthday, I think I found out about it the next day, on my birthday. Planet Earth came out on my birthday, and because I'm in the states, the free UK version was available online by the time I woke up here. And, I had forgotten, the new version of In A Large Room With No Light was also made available on my birthday... Prince is so good to me.... Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'... |

I do understand the op. I also want vip tickets to his concerts, in stead of reading on the org how great his concerts were.
