"If I Had A Harem" [Studio Version]: Guilty Pleasure Some of my favorite tracks by Prince are always the weird ones, & this track has been stuck in my head for two weeks! Even though the sound quality isn't that good on the boot, I love the quirky-ness of the beat. It doesn't even sound like he's trying on that song, which is why I find it so dope. Even though it reminds me of "It's Courtin' Time", I think it's superior. I will admit it's a bit of a throwaway track, & it doesn't really belong on any of his albums. But hey, imho it's just so....hummable!
What are you thoughts about this song, Catchy or Crap?

Yep you got anotherlover over here for it...saw it first time edited with the footage from the livesexy show which didn't quite fit but was a joy nonetheless...I made a thread about it sometime ago and 80% responses were pretty negative :p | |

Why is it a guilty pleasure? It's excellent, one of his best outtakes IMO. Great and unusual beat. Much prefer it to the Live version. | |
