Clarification on Prince & LiveNation split on TJMS

Jawn Murray, celebraty entertainer liasion, said on tthe Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS), earlier today, said Prince Publicist reportily contacted him,(he was the first to release the information) and said they played the report that was featured on the show to Prince that said he fired LiveNation and she said he wanted it to be known he DID NOT fire LiveNation, but they agreed to ambimically split and he and the CEO remain friends, but will not work together, at this time. She said Prince will continue to complete the 21 dates and other concerts, this year including, same day shows!!! faint The publicist, reportily said, some band members were not paid but that, due to a problem(I think I heard) but that has been resolved. There was some speculation that a band member may have leaked some information, but that, was unable to be comfirmed...cool to hear some of the details, even when that is normally not my thing.sun

Well..all I can say about this whole LiveNation/Ticketmaster situation is that many of us, including Prince, need to cut the AM-BIBLICAL cord and stop paying such atrocious fees. Then, perhaps, the Ticketbastards won't be so AMBIGUOUS and AMBITIOUS in locations, fees, and actually delivering tickets and will become the AMOROUS AFFICIANDOES that we desire them to be! razz lol

Nice to hear that rumor got cleared up and I guess it clears the rumor in this current thread here: http://prince.org/msg/7/3...LiveNation

or the mods should just make this thread a new, featured article clearing that rumor.

Jawn is a hack. Not sure where he is getting his info but it's weeks old.

Live Nation is back in the mix and was at both Troubadour shows and the weekend shows.

Also, they have resumed television spots on local television and advertising on Sunset Blvd.

They are working together again and they are also the promoters for the North Sea Jazz Festival.

So in other words, what you're saying, is that Jawn's side of the story doesn't hold any water. It's amazing how many stories surface about this, and unless there's an official statement from the direct source, clarifying the information, then that is the only way the false stories gets shut down. Thanks J.

I'm sorry, either I'm incompetent or this story is really tough to read to get a clear idea of what's going on. Can someone PLEASE clarify what's going on with this? This clarification is muddy! LOL!
