Prince in The Future [10 years from now]: Your Thoughts

Well, in ten years Prince will be 63 [on June 7], & hopefully walking without a cane. So, what will we be saying about him then?

  • Will we still be on this site talking shit, or will we still be gushing over him?

  • Will he still be performing at the level he is, permanently in Vegas, or in his own mind somewhere in a straight-jacket?

  • Will the music he comes out with be new or will we finally see some extensive outtakes come out?

  • Will we ever see the remasters in this period?

  • Will Prince decide to fade into his own world, becoming a hermit & we'll be wondering where he is & what happened to him? And when he re-surfaces, he's gained some weight & has lost quite a lot of hair?

  • Will he start telling the "truth" more?

  • What do you think his music will sound like?

  • Will he even still have decent hearing left in 10 years?

  • Will he still be a JW, or will he become apart of an occult?

...That's pretty much all I could type without taking up a whole page, So add whatever else you think he could be doing your own fuckin' wonderful selves orgers.....Me likes [some of] ya!

....BTW.....Will Prince.org still be around?????? faint

- Main income still from ever-more Vegasy and staid live shows.

- Main remasters done and dusted - disappointing content, but at least they did they them.

- Still releasing catch-all pop/r&b albums that fail to make an impact on anyone other than diehards.

- Some sort of Revolution reunion 'event' hyped up, was just the gang jamming on America at the end of a regular show.

- 3rd wife came and went, youngest/tranniest looking one yet.

- Jehovah no longer in the picture, moved on to something equally backwards-looking like Islam, etc.

- Even thicker make-up and cheaper wigs.

There will have to be some type of reunion tour...people will be in their 60's by then and not wanting to tour or be all over the country imo. The time is now to start re-grouping and patching old wounds...

• At some point his luck with plastic surgery will run out and a botched procedure will turn him into a tabloid freak.

• More botched events and bad albums will put him back into touring college basketball stadiums and big clubs.

• With the record and newspaper industries gone ad web developers unwilling to work without up-front payment his constantly worsening stream of music will turn into a bunch of $4.99 Amazon specials.

He'll be fine.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

If Prince had a child right now, then for him to become a grandpa in 10 years, the child would have to concieve around 9 years old.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

  • Will he still be performing at the level he is, permanently in Vegas, or in his own mind somewhere in a straight-jacket? - He'll still be performing but to be honest hes already at the Vegas show stage now...he just tours with it

  • Will the music he comes out with be new or will we finally see some extensive outtakes come out? - I doubt we'll ever hear the outakes and unreleased stuff en mass

  • Will we ever see the remasters in this period? - Personally i dont get remasters, whats wrong with the current versions?

  • Will Prince decide to fade into his own world, becoming a hermit & we'll be wondering where he is & what happened to him? And when he re-surfaces, he's gained some weight & has lost quite a lot of hair? - He's already faded into his own world, hes already losing hair and, although oit feels like hes always around - if you think about it there are whole swayths of time where he seems to be doing very little except showing his face at events

  • Will he start telling the "truth" more? - Nope, the truth is inconvenient, too binding and doesnt pay well

  • What do you think his music will sound like? - crap. unless he gets soem sort of filter..hes no longer a trend setter - hes a trend chaser at best or miles off teh pulse at worst

  • Will he even still have decent hearing left in 10 years? - pardon?

  • Will he still be a JW, or will he become apart of an occult? - same thing

...That's pretty much all I could type without taking up a whole page, So add whatever else you think he could be doing your own fuckin' wonderful selves orgers.....Me likes [some of] ya!

....BTW.....Will Prince.org still be around?????? faint - 100% yes unless he shuts it down...this place absorbs his history and career , lovers, haters and realists whilst the man can only go as long as the man goes and will only have the opinion he is told to hav eby a dusty old book. I guarantee we'll still be talking about the great years and saying "hey you guys remember when he released The Rainbow Umbrella and 2321...or what about that One Year Alone piano album?" and "Told you he had a false hip"
