Prince's Personal and Touring DJs - what about them?

I have a question for those of you who were actually there or who just know your Prince lore better than I. smile

In the Fan Gatherings forum there is a post about an upcoming Prince themed party at First Avenue with the DJ being Dudley D, whose stated credentials are that he was (paraphrasing here) Prince's personal DJ and touring DJ.

I wasn't in the Prince scene during most of the 90s and unfortunately didn't attend Paisley parties or concerts during that exciting time, and so I'm not familiar with the history of Prince's 'personal and touring' DJs then. Were there others besides this Dudley D, or was he the only - or main - one? IIRC, I've read of others but can't recall names right now, or maybe I'm just misremembering altogether. I assume these DJs spun the music at parties at Paisley Park and before concerts (during concerts?) began...but did they have any other roles as well? I guess I'm just curious as to how DJs came to be and to fit into the Prince scene at that time, and what all exactly was it that that they did.

Thanks in advance.

Edited to add: oh yeah, as I was writing this I'd forgotten about the Glam Slam clubs in the 90s; I also assume Prince's DJ had duties at those....

He also worked with Michael Mac for a while, albeit briefly. Michael Mac is also from the Twin Cities and together with Scrap D and Steppa Ranks they were associated with Prince between 1995 and 1996. But Michael Mac wasn´t really his personal or touring DJ.

Doug Davison (Gilberts's brother) was the DJ at Glam Slam Minneapolis. Brother Jules did the Paisley Park parties and after hour parties at Glam Slam from around 92 to at least 97 (I stopped going after that, so don't know who came after). William Graves did the private parties before Brother Jules did. I always remember there being tension between Doug and Prince at Glam Slam. Doug would get really annoyed when Prince showed up and wanted something he had played.
