underground 1 & 2

back in the day i had a cassette of the graffiti bridge outtakes. at the end it had a couple of cool instrumentals called underground 1 & 2. i remember reading in controversy about a possible movie project called underground where prince played a house dj. the cassette is long lost but was wondering if anyone could shed any light on these tracks?? ta

I seem to recall these were confirmed as fakes (not Prince).

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

thanks. i always was suspicious anyways as they didn't have the quirky feel of a prince track. remember one was quite cool though with a groovy bassline. wonder who recorded them? smile

I can't remember two tracks 'seemingly' from this project, just one.

There was NEVER a Prince project called 'Underground'.

The track labelled as 'Underground' (found on the 'Rude Boy' boot) is a Keith Forsey instrumental titled 'The Reggae' from the 'Breakfast Club' soundtrack (1985).

there were definitely 2 on the cassette i had. but as they're not prince it's pretty irrelevant anyways. i only read about underground in controversy, i'm not saying it happened. controversy always was full of rumours!! i reckon the tracks were put on prince bootlegs as a bit of mischief making. gonna go check out this keith forsey tune biggrin
