I was really digging this pretty girl in high school. I didn't know if she was into Prince or not. I was a little shy. I wrote a lot of poetry and song lyrics. Instead of writing her one of my own creations, I used different Prince lyrics from different songs ( I'll probably get sued for that! lol), and I gave it to her with a lot of artwork around the letter and dipped in some perfume. She came up to me the next day and gave me a huge hug and from there on.... well, we spent a lot of time in my daddy's car up a dark and lonely road....

yeah, i got laid two times because I liked prince. Once was in HS a girl was singing 'paisley park' and I said 'nice song' and she said 'yeah my boy friend hates prince...' and hour later we were at my house (during 6th period) doing it to temptation...

I busted a guy doing that! In class and it was a poem he was used to get a girl! (the "I am nothing" poem from 'Under the Cherry Moon') He read it in class and I said "nice poem Christopher!" and I would have left it at that. (i just wanted him to know he did not get away with it) but he got in my face over it so i told the teacher what it was from. And the then girl says "you said your wrote that for me!"

She sorta hit on me after than but I was oblivious.

I tried my best deep Prince voice over the phone to several girls and needless to say they 'enjoyed' themselves!

I did recite lines from Prince songs to girls when I was 15 or 16. In retrospect, doing something like that was probably as embarrassing as it gets. Although I've noticed that the use of pick up lines has diminished a lot in general.

Hmm, I think I might have originally learned about the importance of complimenting a woman about her appearance from Prince though. At one point in time, it seemed like it was hard for the guys to even say the word "beautiful" out loud.
