I was wondering how long it would take for someone to start this tasteless and tacky thread. Not long at all it seems.

disbelief

Tasteless and tacky from your perspective maybe, but Bobby would love if the reunion happens.

So what you said is just an opinion of yours

Bobby Z has a heart attack and all people can worry about is will we get a reunion out of it or a benefit concert. Y'all are noting but vultures!

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Praise on the banishedone! I'm tired of these Revolution haters, trying to front like they're "deeper" because they're into ALL of Princes music. Nobody was saying anything past 1988 isn't good, we're just saying everything up until '88 IS GREAT! People in the Purple World need to start unifying if you want any kind of Revolution type of shows- there is a lot going on behind the scenes and ya'll are the ones not completely behind the movement. It's in the air more than ever RIGHT NOW. Quit trying to kill peoples dreams, so not cool. What happened to Positivity? Haters believe what you want, ya'll gonna be hushed one day.... I believe that day is coming sooner than you would ever think....

Sadly, at the Northrop show in 2000, we had the closest possible thing. Dr Fink could still play, Mark Brown was ok...Bobby Z was not able to keep the beat, and Prince told him to leave. Perhaps he did not practice, or had not touched the drums in a few years...but he just wasn't in to it. Mark Brown told me he had not touched a bass in over 5 years later that night... With Bobby Z's health a concern, there likely will never be anything close to a real reunion.

I would love to see this band, however:

Guitar: Miko, Wendy

Bass: Sonny T

Keyboards: Dr Fink, Lisa

Drums: Sheila E, John Blackwell

Horns: Eric Leeds, Atlanta Bliss, Greg Boyer

That's a Prince all star band. I'd pay a lot to see that. I miss the horns and 2nd guitar on the current run of shows. See y'all at MSG tonite!

The best thing he could do right now, specially after LotusFlow3r and 20Ten, he can't top those albums; he should close this mid-00's solo comeback chapter and try something new...the Revolution reunion would be awesome, at least with Dr.Fink, Wendy & Lisa and Sheila...

Much as it was "my era" for Prince, I think it would be nothing more than a let down. Its like the Sex Pistols reforming.

I think it might be good for Prince to work with past influences, but with a new slant. How about

Prince - Vox and guitar

Wendy - Guitar

Rhonda - Bass

Lisa - Keyboard

Rosie - Vocals

Sheila - Drums

Not sure what name woulod work best..... Prince and the Resolution?

Although I quite like Prince and the Furry Cups lol

Dr Fink is too good not to be in there. Replace Rosie (she would never come back) with Dr Fink & Jill Jones on vocals. Brown Mark is good enough on base, it will add a bit more testosterone and chemistry with Prince, And keep Rhonda on stand up base

How about:

Prince And The New Power Revolution....

lol

It would be cool though to see some version of old band mates with some newer folks. Like the expanded Revoltion. Parade era. Change it up personel wise to fit songs. Full band for certain songs. Break it down to a 3 piece for others. Mix it up. I think that could work.Imo.

Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

Udo he skipped those lyrics in Uptown because he performs it that way since 1982.

I think Prince will perform his more raunchy songs

because nobody expect that from Prince and he isn't a fool,

he sees how great crowd reaction

is when he plays snippets of those jams.

What time frame would you say P will play the old stuff again, without skipping verses, etc?
Within 5 years?
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
