The Undertaker laserdic question

I believe that The Undertaker was released on laserdisc at least in japan or something, wasn't it?

Could someone tell me if the intro and outro were listed as separate tracks on the cover (and/or were factually separate tracks on the LD) or if they were just considered parts of The Ride and Dolphin?

Thanks biggrin

Yes, It was released on the same day as the home video on NTSC Laserdisc in Japan.

I'm sorry, i can't help with your second question, and i can't find a picture of the back cover.

PS Considering your questions, I think you'd better post them on www.moquake.com as more collectors visit that site, and threads like this one don't get lost in threads asking about Prince's pubic hair ...

maybe that's because they don't list every single release. They do talk about the difference in the 1993 and 1995 versions

the npg store version is by :symbol: and has the live version of dolphin, whereas the released version has a studio version of dolphin overdubbed. all the credits mention "prince" on the released version whereas it's :symbol: on the unreleased version

original release date..Dec 6th 1993.

This is the original version of The Undertaker film, which was slightly revised for the official '95 release. The video was a limited edition of 1000 copies and sold for $50 each. the original version focuses on the "live" performance, ommiting the footage of Vanessa Marcil. It contains the full version of Poor Goo (a portion of which was edited out of the '95 version of the film) and a full live version of Dolphin (instead of overdubbing the ending with the studio recording of the song, as was done on the '95 version of the film).

No company is listed i.e WB.

Ah, finally someone who actually owns a copy of the Laserdisc!

Can you actually play it and see how it's tracked?

We know the content is the same as the VHS and that the backcover just lists the 7 tracks too. But what we don't know for certain is whether there are definitely only 7 ident/skip points (or 'chapters') on the disc or not. Or whether things like the intro and end titles have their own ident points so you can skip forward to them?

oh yeah, the symbol version says "bootleg video" or something instead of warners. i can't remember if the original broadcast version of sacrifice of victor says the same too, i think that had some slightly different camera angles too

I have this laserdisc, but no LD player.

Does anyone know if shops will make a dvd copy for me, or will I get flack about copyright?

Any suggestions on where to get it done?

where abouts in the world are you?

i have my pioneer ntsc/pal player currently connected to my pioneer plasma (with lovesexy in at the moment). there's still a few things you can't get on dvd or bluray
