In DMSR, didn't somebody say that during the For You sessions, Prince spent most of his waiting-around time in the studio playing video games?

'Course in those days, it could have been little more than 'Pong'. Wonder if he's got a PS3 today... maybe I'll meet him in Alien vs. Predator this afternoon.

That comment reminded me that from reading Pop Life, when he would come in to do studio time at Moon's studio, he always had a big chocolate shake to sip on, not that its a hobby or anything, but it just reminded me

It's actually from just after For You was released, in a bit about Prince's first house:

I've seen photo of him and his beautiful Mayte where little dog was laying next to them, but it looked like a wig and it belonged to Mayte, not Prince.

I believe the dog in that photo was Mia - Mayte's Yorkie, who died not too long ago.

well she has a couple or got a new one. she tweeted a pic of a dog today or yesterday. guess she loves that breed of doggy

I know for a fact that he cornered Richard Linklater at the after party of the premiere of "A Scanner Darkly" and then invited Linklater back to his house to talk about the movie and other films till the sun came up, and that wasn't publicized. I've asked Linklater myself!

Prince also references obscure/classic/foreign movies in his songs and albums, everything from "Back when Dick was fuckin Liz" to mentioning Fellini films, to Barbarella, to using shots from The Gate as part of NPG wall paper.

His recent viewing of Black Swan was publicized.

i think Prince watches a lot of movies. He's even said he thinks of his albums as movies with the songs being scenes.

This sounds really interesting that he likes foreign movies. There are so many great F.M. and americans don't know about them. They are deep or dark, just like Prince's lyrics.

I grew up watching this kind of movies and enjoy watching them time to time.
