Robert Plant's Prince sample

We all know that Plant samples "damn" from "housequake" on "Tall cool one". Does this mean Plant is a big fan, or something his producer at the time threw in?

I'm not sure, because I'm not a big fan of his solo output (which can't be said about Led Zeppelin and Jimmy's albums....I'm huge fan!).

I just hope this thread won't turn into plagiarism and satanism accusation.

i did not know robert plant is a fan or not ... however i always remember robert plant walking into the hall of fame (prince's induction) show and he looked like he was having the time of his life (on the NY city street outside the waldorf ) - takes on a different meaning if this is the case (and he is a fan of Prince...)

I was just strolling the city streets and .... kinda got close to the Waldorf ... and .. then i realized what was happening that night ... etc ... and ... wow .. there is tom petty ... there is robert plant .. wow ...

Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

yeah he does. in 1988 *I think* Plant was being interviewed (by Martha Quin i think) on Mtv and she was asking what he thought about different musical acts and he kept dodging the questions with the answer "John Paul Jones" until she got to Prince and he said something like (hey it has been 22 years) "'he's great, the best, he's Prince..." and then they played "girls and boys" but I think they called it "boys and girls"??
