Do you think he wants to hump on his guitars and do what he use to do back in the day now that he is JW, I don't think so.. so I think there is more than one factor, I think he chooses not to do it. Its life, but I think he can still dance his ass of and perform as good as he use to, but with age does come maturity and licking his guitar and humping it aint as satisfying as it use to be to him. MAdonna is Madonna >_> lets be honest here lol. There is nothing wrong with being sexual, but do you see Prince doing it?? like he use to? no... if he did it again I wouldn't go all ugh.. it's Prince he can get away with that.. Did the pip drop drown and hump his guitar though? I'm just wondering... lol

It's widely believed Prince began practicing JW traditions as early as 1997, with 2001's TRC album being the time of his induction as a full member. This is speculation for the sake of the argument, though, but here goes:

1997: NYC Live ("Face Down")

1998: Newpower Soul ("Mad Sex", "Shoo-Bed-Ooh", "Come On", "The One")

1999: Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic ("Hot Wit U", "Baby Knows")

2001: The Rainbow Children ("Muse 2 the Pharaoh", "The Sensual Everafter", "Mellow", "1+1+1 is 3")

2002: One Nite Alone... ("A Case of U")

2004: The Chocolate Invasion ("When I Lay My Hands On U", "Underneath the Cream", "Vavoom", "The Dance"), Musicology ("If I Was the Man in Your Life", "On the Couch")

2006: 3121 ("3121", "Lolita", "Black Sweat", "Incense and Candles", "Satisfied", "The Dance")

2007: Planet Earth ("Somewhere Here on Earth", "Future Baby Mama", "Mr. Goodnight")

2009: Lotusflow3r ("Crimson and Clover", "Love Like Jazz"), MPLSound ("Chocolate Box", "Dance 4 Me", "Valentina"), Elixer ("Here I Come","2nite", "Elixer")

2010: 20TEN ("Sticky Like Glue")

If you think Prince isn't still well in-touch with his sexuality, you're living in a dream world.

Well said. In many ways, Prince is as sexual as ever...he just dodges the 4 letter words.

Lawd have mercy...lol some of these fans seem to be looking for Prince to fill a sexual void missing in their lives when they go to see him perform. They seriously need to learn how to separate "Prince the musician/artist/performer" from "Prince offstage". Maybe some of these fans need to do a "personal" check and try to find things in their lives to "make their lives happen" instead of depending on an artist's music or perfomance to bring that satisfaction and fill that void in their lives. Sheesh.

2elijah, your comment is way off. IAmFunkay is the one with the pornographic rememberance of humping guitars. Reply correctly or don't add on. I specifically made reference to 1AmF... equateing Prince's age with some kind of asexuality. And I don't know what you've been doing but I've never been in Prince's bedroom so I don't equate his sexuality with something he does "Offstage" umm what windows have you been peaking in...

I'm not saying anything about stage antics, Parade was one of my favorite tours/shows and outside of stripping his top, how sexual was his antics at that age.

Prince's sexuality like a lot of artist:painters singers poets musicians is a part of them. How do you seperate your sexuality from who you are... But that is the problem people who profess one thing outwardly and when they get behind closed doors act another way. When has Prince really seperated his sexuality from his Musicianship/Artistry? the Rainbow Children album which is considered his JW album is full of sexuality and talks about oral sex.

Any artist or person who seperates himself is not being true to himself and that's where lack of reality and creativity comes in.

Purple Prudes are kinda weird to me...

No it's not. You're way off and paranoid because my comment was never in response to yours. If I wanted to respond to your post, I would have done so directly with no hesitation. Paranoid much huh? You'll be alright. Carry on. popcorn

UH you said nothing about being a JW. I responded to your age + sexuality comment. And Prince ain't even following that(JW) correctly. You equated his age with sexuality. Being a JW has nothing to do with age. So is it ok if he's a 25 yr old JW humping his guitar. The Superbowl performance where the white sheet was shadowing him... what do you think he was exibiting? PHALLIC Penis Dick

Weither he humps his guitar or not has nothing to do with it. When Prince places the back end of his guitar in his groin what do you think he's doing? Just because you wouldn't want to see it doesn't mean 1000 other fans don't and you know they do.

Co-sign.

Prince may be "mature" now and be all boring OFF-STAGE, but there's nothing wrong with putting on a nice sexual show ON-STAGE! Nothing crazy, mind you, but stop actin' like somebody's grandma! The "old" Prince would probably find himself nodding off at a present-day Prince show.

Where's the band choereography on top of that? The slick moves a Prince show is known for? And don't tell me about some little shoulder shake, arm movement, or hair slick-back move he does. That ain't dancing. That's just "I-think-I'm-too-cool-to-sweat-or-get-worked-up". Just another one of the reasons why I won't be bothered attending his live show whenever it may come to town. And, don't get me started on the setlists!!!

lol A 25 year-old Prince would embrace 52-year old Prince, because of the success he's achieved as a musician/artist, and his accomplishments as a musician/artist over the years. Add in the influence he's had/has on other musicians/artists. Not to mention the respect he's earned/gained because of his creative skills, and the risks he still takes with his music. Now what musician/artist would be disappointed about that?lol

[Edited 12/23/10 10:50am]

yeah but what has he achieved in last 5 years? nothing1

u really need to shutup!

I think prince at 25 would be very disappointed in a 52 yr old prince who isnt cutting edge, doesn't take chances, half azz dances, and plays the same old shit over and over he did 25 years ago! Now he just prances and gloats around the stage bragging about what he use to be(his hits) instead of doing like miles davis and staying ahead of the pack! what has happened to the kid? eek

lol Projecting much???

Here's an idea...how 'bout we let Prince be Prince and Miles be Miles.

ur kind of a retard yomamafat!

Prince has achieved 4 great albums, sold out concerts on 2 continents, and maintained his sex appeal while reaching the big 5-0. I'd say he's achieved more in life than 99.9% of the population!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

I would say this...25yr old Prince would be as disappointed in 52yr old Prince as 52yr old Prince would be in 25yr old Prince. Which, since Prince doesn't harp on the past, probably wouldn't be that much. People change, they grow, and hopefully, they get better. Prince has achieved that! He still has confidence and style, he still sells out shows, he still rocks a show like no other musician can, and he still makes great music. What is there to be disappointed over? NOTHING!!! Prince is, always has been, and always will be the man. Accept it and enjoy it!

And Prince hasn't lost his sex appeal...he's made it more respectful. When you are young and overly sexual, people like it and kinda look over it. But at 52 if you were still being overly sexual, cursing, and such, people would turn their nose up at you! But now, he is really respectful, yet still sexy and sensual...which is what I would expect (and appreciate and really LOVE) from a 52yr old.

Enough. This was trolling from the start.

lock

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
