Heard the "So many hits so litt.. " in London too.

Since P has been in Europe and last week in Holland, lots of people came up to me talking about him.

Talking about his come-back. For me he never was gone. However, for them he was, because he's was not in the main charts or dance scene. So, for these guys the concert was surprisingly amazing, because they really don't know that much about him. Realizing only now what a great artist he actually is, they become enthousiastic nowadays.

People who allways joked about my Prince addiction, and never took the effort to listen to his music beyond his hits, now went to his concert and talked about it af if they knew P personally and allways had appreciated his music. Hilarious. Even people who have been rude about him now were all bragging on their facebook that they went to see him and stated he was soooo cool.

Really laughed reading about my ex, who 1.5 years ago argued with me over his music. Now he was all over it: o, I know all his songs, he's so great, yadiyadiyadi (sorry, still have some issues with him)

ahum.

I do support Prince getting as much money out of these people as he can. (that's just stupid negativity. Sorry, thinking of my ex does that to me wink) They just want to be able to say they were there. And they will follow the next hype tomorrow.

without really knowing. Not being able to really have their own taste and opinion. Adopting taste and opinions from others as if it's their own. BAH.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

quote Volkskrant Holland:

If the new work means that much to you, why do you play

evening to evening the same old work from the eighties?

Beacause that's what the public comes for??????. I know that my recent

work is less popular. So if there are 15.000 people here tonight in

the arena, I'm not gonna be obstinate. Do you think it's cool to come

to a party where the DJ is playing unknown music very loudly for

the entire evening?

I find it hard to believe Prince said this. He would never say "know that my recent work is less popular" without blaming it on the radio or the record label.

Plus, he plays the music because "Willie wants to hear Kiss too"

Prime aka The Kid

I need u to shake Ur lil' ass n hips
I need u to grind like Ur working for tips
And give me what I need while we listen to PRINCE"

rap

I certainly hope not, as I've never seen him live.

But compared (to the television footage I have seen of) U2's 360 Tour, they could be considered, 'boring'. Those guys really do know how to put on a show.

I believe that Bono has said he/they would find it hard to go back to the traditional stage set-up.

Prince is not the only artist who plays his hits...

I've seen Santana 6 times, and you are guaranteed to hear:

- Oye Como Va

- Black Magic Woman

- Jingo

- Evil Ways

and now...

- Maria Maria &

- Smooth

People go crazy for the familiar.

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

-Cher, "Woman's World"
