I am a nurse and I work in a retirement home. 52 is far from old by todays standards where most people live into their late eighties or nineties. I have residents as old as 99 who are only there because they dont want to live alone. They are just about totally independent. Prince does not look or act like a middle aged man. I know people 25 who have more wrinkles than him. This is typical talk of an agist society like the one we live in. I hope he still plays at 80. I'll be the first one in line for a ticket.

Well, I'm forty next year so yes he is old and thank fuck he looks it. Slowing time ain't working then. Seemed to work for Cher. Or was that just surgery?

From the look on his face his metro-gnome must be causing him a lot of painful aggravation.

What's agist? Prince doesn't look 25 anymore, because he's 52! I don't believe there was anything judgmental or "agist" in this thread. In fact, I thought most people were saying he still looked great for his age.

What is so old about that pic? It looks to me like the face of anyone that usually wears makeup but doesn't have any on. I've seen 20yr olds with that look. It's what makeup does to you when you constantly wear it. There isn't much else wrong with that pic..

You posted other pics where he looks younger. I don't think he looks old these days, but some pics catch him at odd times/angles and his age shows very loudly. In the picture we're referencing, it looks as if he's wearing zero makeup and that he is very tired, if a bit puffy in the eyes (which is weird cuz he is fairly gaunt-looking). You could also see the big bags under his eyes at some of the 20TEN shows and definitely at the BET awards. Additionally, his skin tone has taken a sallow tint to it. And yes, Prince has always had a caramel complexion, but high yellow peeps tend to show their age more than people with darker skin tones (think Shelby J and Liv Warfield).

Edit: I thought he looked stunning throughout all of the LotusFlower promo and tour appearances, FWIW. Which is why I don't think he looks old in general. Incidentally, I thought he also looked very old-ish at that GMA TV performance w/ Tamar in 2006 with the pink and blue outfit, I think? His hair had some kind of floppy combover - very unflattering. Same look he was sporting at the American Idol performance. Old and sloppy, imo!

Prince looks great for 52..
I am 43 and I have pictures taken of me where I look 35... others I look 50.....

It DOES have alot to do with the camera angles.. the colors your wearing.. lighting , the

expersion on your face etc..

EVERY man in his 50's has some wrinkles and some grey hair.. so yes Prince..we know you color..

but he looks wonderful.

he has a youthful sexy look about him.. and I think alot of it is living a pretty clean life..

No harsh drugs or heavy drinking.. eating rigth.. etc...

I see others that are around his age and they look SOOOOO old...............................
