Now, it's getting tougher. Jam of the Year, yay or nay!

I think it is a good opening to the album. It does go on a bit too long. The jamming near the end could have been crazier, like I like it. It's not a masterwork, but I dig it. Slight yay.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

l like it. It does go on for too long, but then again so did alot of songs on emancipation. Somebody in princes camp should have told him to shorten the length of some songs and not to release others at all. Still an enjoyable track

yay

Nay. It's boring and soft and comes nowhere remotely close to living up to its title. I still can't believe he chose it to open up his big Emancipation opus.

Yay. A good "jam" to open an album like Emancipation. It's free, cool, mellow and funky.

This was Prince's first album as a "free" artist. Quite a big deal for him. As a result, i do not think he would have let anyone from his "camp" tell him what to do with his vision for this album. Being told what to do is one of the reasons he wanted to be free from his recording contract.

As for the song, live versions are funky, good track.
