Right The Wrong...

"An indian woman buried her grandpa in the black heels..."

[img:$uid]http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz163/luckystar910/Craigslist%20Ad/SAM_0181.jpg[/img:$uid]

Does anyone actually like this song? I can't help but laugh at the imagery the lyrics conjure up for me. lol

I don't mind it. Not his best, but not the worst. The outtake version is much better, though.

eek

falloff It's Black Hills. As in the Black Hills of South Dakota, which has a large Native American population.

But I'm gonna hear "black heels" from now on... thanks. lol

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

As a southerner, I've always heard it as "heels" knowing it was "hills"...

Which made the next line, which I've never actually confirmed via lyric site, even better.

"When he was younger, he used to tell her these heels would longer steel." Um, what? lol

I actually love the song itself, though.

falloff Yes, I know this BUT... due to the way he says it, from the very first time I heard this track it has been "heels"... lol

An Indian woman buried her grampa in the black heels
When she was young he used to tell her
That these heels belonged to her still
And even though injustice took them heels away
"One day we'll get them back," he said
"And the sun's gonna shine that day"

It's like some multi-generational indian drag queen story... lol lol lol

Some folks swear that Prince sings "psycho neverhands" in Pink Cashmere.

I love the song as well. The whol Chaos and Disorder album actually.

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

JoeTyler

incredibly dull/random rock track; the kind of song that destroyed C&D's credibility
