I say, why the hell not?! He's done everything else! It doesn't seem like he can please most of U anyway regardless of the genre...why not encourage him to expand his talents? We might be pleasantly surprised!

Modern country is not as bad as many people think.

It's where real songwriting has gone these days. I actually kinda like it.

I agree! That's where anyone with any talent is these days. The other genres are suffering bad! The new stuff that's worth listening to is all on the country channels. And they have some of the most accomplished musicians in history....

Two things:

1)Country radio is all over that "black aaayuss" Darius Rucker right now.

2)You mistakenly assume that any radio format would play new Prince music on their station. lol

I'm not a huge fan of modern country, but some of it is amazing. Gary Allan is unbelievable. His cover of Vertical Horizon's "Best I Ever Had," recorded after his wife's suicide, is beyond heartbreaking.

I've never heard of him. He must be their new Charlie Pride. I bet he don't look like no "kwurr" though. They hate them just as much as they hate blacks. lol

Darius Rucker is the lead singer from Hootie and the Blowfish. He is really good! His songs are great, he has really added something to country music. He has no soul IMO and talks alot like the country guys, so he fits right in! He knocked down a few boundaries that had been put back up!

What does any of this have to do with gay people? Nothing.

Apparently you must haven't been around them rednecks. If somebody like Prince were to perform in a country/western club, they would drag his ass from a pickup truck. He'd be a damn fool to make a country album. They would never accept someone that looks like him and he sure as hell couldn't perform the material live for them.

your stereotyping is down right frightening
