Prince doing the blues

Hey, what are the best blues songs that Prince has ever done? I like the Zannalee version from the Work and Beggin Woman Blues. Do you think he'll ever put out a more straight forward blues album, a direction I wouldn't mind seeing. Stuart

I would love this! But he never likes to do "conventional" things, he's only ever kept a traditional theme going with Piano & Voice, even The Truth had the Prince sound injected into it to keep it apart from the norm.....but i love this idea!

I'd nominate The Ride and Cool As The Otherside Of The Pillow (especially live)

The Undertaker ( officially released version on VHS) sounds great. My all time favorite is probably the song he played at Le New Morning in Paris in 1987 ( Was It My Face? ) . The Ride in its older incarnations is also nice, and of course If I Had A Harem live in 1988.

I love Prince's bluesier songs... The Undertaker, The Ride, and Zanalee are some of my favorite Price songs overall.
