Harlepolis

Wasn't "Dorothy Parker" recorded under a technical error? I'm sure that it wasn't intentional since Susan Roger said in DMSR that she was scared by the end of the recording that Prince would've chewed her out, instead he was delighted by the outcome.

The abrupt ending appears couple of times in Prince' music, D'Angelo used it in "How Does It Feel".

Where?

on the downbeat of the band's entrance, like i dunno 6-7 secs in. there's the keyboard intro and then a millisecond before the band kicks in there's a pop, sounds more to me like a bad punch having listened again

I don't hear it sad
