Resolution is like the Prince version of "Kumbaya" Its more melodic than Purple & Gold, but that's not saying much. Cheesy lyrics throughout and I actually like the Planet Earth album minus this track

I don't hate Resolution, but it's not a track I have listened to a lot, either.

I like it better than Moonbeam Levels, I Wonder U, or Digital Garden (my 3 least favorite Prince songs). lol

I like it. For me it sums up what Planet Earth is all about - a decidedly non-funky, squarely pop and rock guitar-oriented, dare I say, "English" sounding record. I know not all of it is like that, but much of it is, and as the last track on the CD, it leaves me with that specific impression.

Considering Prince's 21 night stand at the O2 in 2007, in which he often included the Beatles and Rolling Stones covers, PE comes across, to my ears, like a tribute of sorts to classic British rock: the Elton John-ish title track, the pedestrian stadium romp of "Guitar", the jangley guitar pop of Resolution.

Resolution, to me, is the perfect ending to a not-so-perfect Prince album. I likes.

i love it! however, the lyrics in the beginning are awkward

this whole part is just soo awkward confused

No matter who started the argument
Just matters how each one ends
How many people really want resolution?

The main problem with people
Is they never do what they say (They say)
1 minute they want peace (Want peace)
Then do everything 2 make it go away

Dropping bombs on each other
In the act of saving face
Tell me now people how is that resolution?

especially these lines, god good the delivery does not flow for shit

after that it gets better biggrin

WTF? Its like the first song in decades to capture the old Revolution feel (even if W&L are not on it).

The keyboard sound at the end is pure heaven.

They are probably over a hundred songs worse than this.

I love it. Some great guitar-picking in that song.

I'm not too keen on the middle eight, but the rest of the song is a big winner, IMHO.

Add embarrassingly silly and naive.
