There is an article on Prince on the last page of the Sept 2010 Electronic Musician magazine where it mentions that Prince has hired several Hollywood directors over the years 2 film documentaries on him at great expense only 2 wind up in the vault for his own viewing. It also mentions that the public knows almost nothing about Prince and way 2 much about Michael Jackson and Madonna.

Interesting read.

He's used bits and pieces of them over the years. Unfortunately I doubt any of them will ever see the light of day while he's still walkin' the Earth.

the great expense isn't to prince, but the directors he doesn't pay. i don't think kevin smith got paid for his couple of days at paisley. that's another movie prince did with me in it that's in the vaults, and he was filming stuff backstage in london during the o2 shows for a dvd/etc but all we got was that book and cd. a few years ago he was supposed to be doing an in bed with madonna style documentary, but we got the sacrifice of victor book instead

i think he keeps his mystery better by not doing it. you don't see prince falling out of places drunk on perez hilton or hear much scandal, it's certainly rarely in the popular media, just the tmz style blogs in between countless pages of crap on other celebretards, so doesn't stick out to the normal guy on the streets

& I think this helps from one point of view. How much do we need to know about the man? I just want the music.

He planned to, or maybe even started, and finished one called: "Inside the Creative Mind".

I don't believe any of them will ever see the light of day then either.

I suspect that Prince has his vaults rigged with some kind of explosive device, set to detonate at the exact moment his heart stops beating and this is all we will see:
