PFUNK, Cause and Effect, Hot Summer

Can anyone tell me a legit way to get these songs on cd or mp3, so I can listen to them at home...?

I love them all, but don't know where to find them, and want to add them to a 20Ten album mix.

Thanks for any info.

I-Tunes has PFunk.

The others are not available officially.

I downloaded the tracks the day they came out, which i think is what most people would have done. They are not hard to find.

because some people actually like to support artists they like. if more people were like that maybe the record business wouldnt be so screwed up and a prince album would actually turn up in stores and not in newspapers.

I'm fairly certain that most of us on here have bought everything that has been released.

It does not have to be legit, and a google search brings up these tracks quite quickly.

I never got them legitimately.

I have supported this artist financially since i was 16 years old (i'm 39 now), spending thousands on legit items. If he chooses to put out a couple of tracks with no legit way of obtaining them, then i'm taking them by other methods.

If Prince wants to avoid people doing that, he knows what to do.

Well, truthfully, there is no way to get them legitimately if we're defining "legitimately" as buying it from somewhere*.

The tracks were streamed over the internet and I don't remember a download link being offered.

* "PFUNK" was offered as a free download and is now available for purchase on iTunes.

for fucks sake people, i was speaking generally, not just about prince. the point is someone asked if there was a legit way to get it and good for them for that. whats sad is people are shocked that someone would even consider a legit way to get music, how sad is that.

I see what you are saying, but my point is that if there was a legitamate means of obtaining these tracks then i would have been more than happy to pay for them. Same goes for bootlegs and as you say, other artists.

I would much prefer obtaining music in first rate quality from a shop or if i had to, something like i-tunes, but when it comes to people like Prince (and other artists) i want everything the guy plays more or less, and that unfortunatley means having to sometimes obtain material from other less legal sources.
