"So Far So Pleased" just rocked my Sunday night

I don't care if it is inappropriate to shower this song with appreciation in your eyes, but I was bored and alone at home tonight and felt the urge to go Gwen Stefani and rock out. I'm a dude haha.

Made a playlist with ND songs and solo stuff, but since this song had her name labeled it came thru on the search and found its way into my playlist.

That guitar solo is RIDICULOUS! The harmonies? Classic. Just a joyful, happy tune.

Thank u Prince. smile

So strange that Clive Davis tried to use the same formula that he had so much success with on Santana's "Supernatural" (simply, pack the mofo up with current and "hip" guest stars to get the attention of the Top 40 crowd) for Rave and then chose not to release any of those tracks as singles. ..although I seem to remember "Hot Wit U" having a video so maybe that was put out? Don't remember. Anyway, I always felt "So Far, So Pleased" should have been the leadoff single. Coupled with a cool (and on time!) video, there may have been a whole different lifespan for the Rave project.

Yeah, it's a very good song. One of the songs I listen to the most when I listen to songs from Rave.

Yeah, I can hear the No Doubt sound in it. But thats the very same monotony rythm that makes me tire of it way before the guitar solo (which is allright).

I usually love Prince's rock efforts, but this one doesn't do it for me much.
