The song is Sex Karma by Of Montreal (with Solange Knowles). It is from Of Montreal's new album False Priest to be released in Sept.

I've heard of this band for the past few years and often read in reviews that the lead singer is a huge Prince fan. Have even heard that many of their songs sound like old school Prince. I haven't paid close attention and haven't really agreed until this song.

Maybe the best way to describe it is saying it is heavily Prince influenced. I could hear P doing this song in about 1985 or earlier.

I heard the song on Jimmy Fallon and immediately thought Prince. If you get a chance watch the performance on Jimmy Fallon (if nothing else for how weird the band looks/acts and how GREAT Solange Knowles looks and moves). You can find it on the net.

I hadn't heard of the group until I saw them on Jimmy Fallon. I immediately thought about Prince circa 1985. I liked the song a lot, especially the violins. The way the band was dressed and their painted faces even reminded me of the album art for ATWIAD.

They are going on tour with Janelle Monae. Should be a good show (especially the show that they're doing at First Avenue---I would love to go to that!)
