That song is encapsulated joy.

It quite often makes me feel 16 again, which is how old I was when it was released. The words playful, joyful, energetic, and happy come to mind.

Everything on from the Parade period (except maybe Kiss) just brings back great memories of a great year.

I consider this a spiritual song because it touches my soul. Its a heavenly instrumental and one of his best works. Every P jam reflects a particular mood and place of being for him. You know when he's being goofy, angry, jealous, happy, sad, in love, out of love, lonely, forgotten, appreciated and so on. This song tells me that Prince was as close to a heavenly experience as he would ever get for with heaven, no words are necessary.

One of my Fave B-sides of all time, complemented with Clare Fischers patented arrangements, it is quite a phenomenal instrumental.

This came a a time when his instrumentals were actually more acknowledgeable than say "Madhouse", "n.e.w.s" or"Xcrement" or whatever it's called...

Not to say he makes bad instrumental albums, but think about this particular era: Venus De Milo, Alexa De Paris, Susannah's Pyjamas, Yes.

Now I LOVE Madhouse - One of my own albums is based loosely on the Madhouse sessions, however, I've just named 4 tracks which I'm sure have more recall than say "3", "South" or "Xcogitate"?

I'd love to hear 4 more tracks in these veins for an album and maybe call it "An Honest Man" (Okay, I abstracted the title, still no references to that ill-version on Crystal Ball please!)?

Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

I hope the vocal version escapes the vaults one day. A few of us know it's in there sitting and waiting.

Holy frijole...this is excellent. I had to give it a listen today. Awesome arrangment. Prince is like a one-man Yes here. Symphonic and majestic, but electrifying and cool at the same time.

When this came out in '86, honestly, I heard it and thought...meh. I was 20 years old, and loved Prince but kind of had a hard time keeping up with his output. So much great music. I still have the 7" of Mountains, on which this is the flip. Bloody brillinat...Prince was so on at this stage, to concoct a song like this which sounds like virtually nothing he had done previously (God instrumental maybe?) and then slap it on a b-side!

Yes, regularly on the US dates of the Hit n Run Tour '86. That's 8 shows. He dropped it from the setlist for the last two shows. (Thanks Uptown/The Vault!)

I know I'm alone on this but for me this was just an okay instrumental not really worthy of repeated listens.

This song is like a dream! An amazing dream.

I just sit back and smile when it comes on.

I think what helps it is the scene from the movie. It would probaby still be very well liked if not for the film, but I think the film just endears it to the hearts of many Prince fans.

Classic tune, that makes me feel a rush of joy and adventure when I hear it. Every time.

The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else!
