Time to digest 20ten.

As with all Prince albums, it takes me time to digest them before I can decide how much I love or hate the album. Of course, the only album that I really dislike is Rave, and the one I will always turn back to as my favorite will be SOTT.

20ten, after listening to it a while, is fun to listen to, but that is about it. I don't crave listening to it. I find the strongest songs to be laydown and future love song. Other than that, they all seem to have a same strength vibe going on. One of the songs is pretty weak to me, Sea of Everything. I think nowadays, you always get one song from Prince where he doesn't take time to pin a melody, he just starts singing, and that's it.

I personally still feel that 3121 is stronger than 20ten, and I give 20ten a strength rating somewhere right around Planet Earth, but a slight bit weaker.

I think 20ten does have a great flow of one song to the next. It is still a good work for the 00 years, but Prince did that horrible thing that I always hoped he would not, and that was fall back for an 80's motiff. I personally do not want him to revisit those sounds, I would rather hear him push ahead. To fly back to the 80's is as if he wants to appease that crowd of people of who whine about him not writing music like he used to. Used to should always be that when it comes to Prince, used to.

I will not get in to his business model for this album too deep, but it sucked. It almost looks to me that he did not want to push in the U.S. But I also feel that I am glad he did not, because the album does not set what I feel like is a Prince standard. (now the standard seems to be take the money and run)

This is my opinion of the album as a whole. I would still grab 3121 for a good time before I grab 20ten. I will grab Lotus if I am smoked up.

Uh, if you took time to listen to it, you would realize it is Future SOUL Song.

Remember, AnnaStasia is a Disney Movie. Anna Stesia is a Prince song.

In my experiences, someone who does not know the title of their "favorite" track on a CD has HEARD that cd, not LISTENED to it. No 20Ten is no SOTT, but it is a nice collection of songs

In all fairness, "Future Soul Song" is also my favorite song on the album and I have, from time to time, accidentally called it "Future Love Song" (but that's primarily because I am also a Gaga fan and she has a song with that title).

Oh, I typed the name wrong. You would be wrong mate, I have listened to it many times. You can't judge a person's history on a typo, that would be silly. Forgive my mistake.
