P interview in the UK times 24/07/10....

www.timesplus.co.uk - entitled 'At Home with Prince', alas it's by subsciption only [just £1.00]. The interview starts off in the usual lazy way with mistakes and dumbass observations [jeeze, he's 5ft 2" -GET THE FUCK OVER IT ALREADY!]. However there's some good info i.e. Batman soundtrack was going to be a duet between P and MJ!!, gives props to W&L for teaching him about harmonies, goof jibe at Andre 3000!, + new trax mentioned include Star, Back in the day and Waiting.

Enjoy if you can spare £1.00!.

Thanx funkyhead for giving a brief rundown. New music is all i care about. Another album or a Part 2 is coming, surely?

Hey Funkyhead,

what type of jibe did he have at Andre?

What did he say about a duet with MJ re Batman. I find it hard to believe that at that stage of their careers, P would have thought of that and considering Batman was a P project from the beginning as I understand, it is hard to fathom how MJ came up.

sorry, P indicates that the whole album was to be a MJ / P joint effort. I guess P as the joker character and MJ as whatever - P doesn't elaborate too much.

nothing more than these titles given which the journo spots on a CD as P pushes the same line again about working 3 albums ahead.

no mention of anything like that. I suspect 20Ten in its current form will be it around the world.

The batman collaboration idea is well known.

Well known? Really? I must've not been here years ago when this was discussed here. lol shrug

Anyway, the well known collaboration was the "Bad" project. THAT was the only one well known as far as I was concerned unless you have news excerpts talking about Prince trying to get MJ to do the Batman thing...

MJ was busy around '89 anyways.

Oh I see why you said it was "well known" now:

http://prince.org/msg/7/340773

Apparently Prince said it in the Germany RS issue too. hmmm

I didn't even see it in MJ forums. Then again I guess I wasn't around the net at the time of its discussion because it was never brought up so it might've been known by huge fans of both...but I usually kept up with MJ so this left me for a loop. lol

I have read before that the idea was bandied about of Prince doing the Joker tracks and MJ doing the Batman tracks. Not much more to tell AFAIK, just an idea.

Prince seems to be promoting a new album now?

I don't know what else would account for the Times interview as '20TEN' is no longer here to promote.

Never heard 'Star' or 'Waiting' as titles for new songs.

Perhaps this is the WB release?
