He'd had to get rid of the Afro and settle for the short crop and if we know Prince like we know him, he wouldn't do it lol

You all make me laugh out loud.... It's actually a hard question. Imagining Prince not being a musician is like imagining the world without a sky... hmmm I would say he'd be a minister at church.wink in United Methodist on Park Avenue in Minneapolis.

Here's why this is not probable:

Prince met Larry Graham in July-ish of 1997.

Prior to this point in time, Prince had shown no outward desire for any kind of organized religion. Prior to this point in time, Prince felt he could keep himself ahead of the game if he continued to write the rules. It is my belief that his sorrow over the loss of his son in late 1996 and the status of his marriage after that is what made Prince especially vulnerable to a message like Larry's.

Now, if Prince left the music biz at that point... I could see him being a minister.

But Prince ain't no minister and there is no ministering going on in his world save the sermons he gives his fans each concert.

Prince was always deeply religious but he was able to keep it between his other sides (the sexual and the boastful). He's just put it out there lately than now. But I could see him being a minister if he wasn't a musician lol

Then again, someone like Prince was born for music...or something creative. He wouldn't have settled for no nine-to-five or even a career in sports.

We know our Prince...anything to make a buck!

Are you implying rich homosexual men have to pay for gay sex?

A most homophobic comment.

Perhaps you are a rent boy yourself.

If he hadn't made it as in make money from it... I think he'd be a street musician. money wise, he might work fast-food or something... but his life would still be music.

edit:

hmmm... that's a boring answer from me. if he was away from music/entertainment altogether... I think he might have studied philosophy and religion in college... maybe become an academic...

Something in the creative arts.

I think he would still be playing but on a more underground level.

Oh dear. You two really need to pack it in. I know OT personally, and he is not an anti-semite. He is tasteless, yes, but not anti-semetic. You both need to be careful of your slander here, jokes or not.

I think he would just be a musiician that no one outside of Minneapolis has ever heard of. The kind of guy that would still be living in somebody's basement somewhere.

Why does there have to be a soundcheck? I don't have a songcheck. You don't have a clothescheck.

I CAN'T even read that without hearing "the dippy dippy dope". Of all of Prince's songs that is one that when I listen to it it sticks in my head throughout the day. lol
