is there anything out there about what kind of deals have been struck with P ?
i mean, i guess the mags/papers have paid him for the distribution rights in each country. when he did the Mail on Sunday deal in '07, they were more than happy 2 tell everyone they paid him $1million 4 the rights. i don't know what kind of sales figures these mags/papers usually get, but i know that the Mail added around 25% to their circulation for the free cd issue. if P has secured the same kind of $ deal this time around, right across the board, then, kudos 2 the little guy ! | |

Hell ... I live in South Florida, when that album comes out (in the paper), I'm gonna have me a copy, bottom line (maybe two or three) ...

is the album titel 20TEN confirmed already? I doubt that the titel will be 20TEN. The advertisement in the German rolling stone magazin says 'SOMETHING BIG 4 20TEN'. I'm not a native English speaker, but as I understand, either the Titel is 'SOMETHING BIG 4 20TEN' or it's something else and the ad only announces something big for 2010, I can't read out any CD Titel. What do you think? | |

Its genius, Its a good way to get his music abroad. Then do a lite distribution deal here in the states with WB. I'm sure he picked certain newspapers and magazines to get his music out. He cuts out the middle man doing this.....  will ALWAYS think of  like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. | |

curious titles. looks like it will be quite heavy on 'message' songs. but since i thought TRC was probably his best album in more than a decade, that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
also interesting that a song is called "compassion". typical prince to have a song referenced in another song without us knowing it yet. (lyrics to cause and effect mention compassion quite a few times, not as a reference to a specific song but the word pops up enough times).
best thing about this track list by far is that "cause and effect", "hot summer" and specifically "purple and gold" are nowhere to be found. thank god for that.
"Lavaux" being the most interesting title, i'm hoping it's not just an instrumental, although i'm inclined to think it will be. somehow it reminds me of "arboretum" but don't ask me why.
looks like a short little album, with only 9 tracks. but if they're good, who needs another five duds to fill out a disc? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

since there appear to be a few religious titles on the album, perhaps this is his way of going around knocking on doors. instead of going in person, the postman drops his cd on people's doormats and they can listen to his message in their homes.

I think this is an interesting idea and he could be on to something. Prince has never been one to play 'follow the leader'. If you go right then he will indeed go left. He did the internet distribution and now everyone is doing it. Now it no longer looks like a viable solution for him to get his music to the masses. I am all for new ideas so go ahead Prince!

You know I'm a HUGE Prince fan. Literally, I'm 6' 2" and 300lbs. (no, my shirt did not fit me!) but if Prince, and I'm just wondering here, if Prince wanted to get The Truth out to his fans about God, wouldn't he release his cd through a Bible? I'm just asking... I would buy it, that's for sure. | |
