So...as a musician...I feel I need to answer this squabble about MJ being a musician. A musician is simply one who creates music. Thus, a singer is a musician. A composer is CERTAINLY a musician. And of course, instrumentalists are musicians. You most certainly do not have to be an instrumentalist to be a musician.

nod

I rememeber this was clarified here in a very long thread in the Non-Prince forum a few months ago. lol

Yeah, that's because someone alerted the MJ boards about the poll and how Prince was blowing everybody else away. And, you KNOW they weren't going to let that happen! When they really, boy...do they rally.

OMG! I can't believe this. How is this possible? MJ's fans really come together & support there hero. I wish Prince fans were like that. But sad to say. Most of Prince fans(except me). Never support him and are quick to judge and put him down about every single thing. This is a disgrace and very troubling to me. How can a fanbase be so cold & uncaring and mean & spiteful to let this happen.

Oh yes, of course. MJ has his own gigantic military of fans behind him. It's incredible.

I'm not surprised that he's winning now actually, I'm just amazed at how so many other fans started voting after finding out about the poll, and put MJ in first place so quickly. He's up to 133,646 now. eek That's 33,646 more votes since the last time I posted in this thread 5 hours ago, and he's averaging 2-5 votes per second. lol

I don't know if Steve Harvey will ever discuss the results, but from the way it looks on the website, it's a "Nielsen" poll. I think Nielsen is a public survey company, so the poll may be open for awhile. shrug

Michael will probably be at around 250,000 votes before the day is over, but I kinda feel bad for the others in 3rd-5th place, lol, especially Stevie. It would be nice if Stevie could gain at least 20000 votes before the poll closes.

I relented, I voted Stevie, whom on balance, and ultimately, i like better than P or MJ anyway. Far more talented, humble and musically meaningful. A truly awe-inspiring, insightful, brilliant artist and just a great man.

I agree, but I wanted P to win. I even gave Stevie a few votes. lol

Ok, you realize that the MJ crazies have a bunch of bots running to do this 'voting', right? Do you really think that many people visit Steve Harvey's site and vote on a silly poll? Does a poll, which allows multiple votes, really have any meaning?

Y'all do realize that this is around the time of the first anniversary of Michael's death.? He is going to be winning any and all contests around this time of year. I haven't seen so many Michael Jackson framed pictures, posters, and memorabilia in mainstream stores like Walmart since the "Thriller" days. They are really cashing in on his death.

I voted once and thats all that needs to be. We all know who the best Musician is.wink Our man Prince.

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Well, I guess to some people it might, but especially when it's easily manipulated, it shouldn't.
