I've emailed them and still havent got a response but my statement says : Magazine: EBONY Issue: JUL 10 - Expected Despatch Date:01/07/2010 Price: £4.32

I get more and more confused confused

I got a response smile so looks like we will all be getting the right issue and they ordered extra! :p

Hi ,
I hope its not misleading, please note the July issue is on sale in the UK on the 1st July - so that's when we should be sending it out. We have put in a large order for this and hope we receive it with no problems, unless it's proved too popular in the US and they have sold out?!
Kind Regards

It is Ebony magazine no one in the US expects anything deep from this publication. Since you are clueless about black american I will let you know that Ebony is struggling finacially and I am sure P is just trying to help them out by being on the cover or maybe doing some kind of CD give away to help them sell some mags.

As far as the failed website if P is not worried about why are you worried about. He had a business failure he has moved so should you.

If I could find the magazine, I would give a synopsis. Can't find it anywhere. I guess Ebony is not sold in my town. Throughout the week, while in various grocery stores, I browsed the magazines. No issue of Ebony anywhere. Just got back from taking my son to work and drove past three liquor stores. Stopped at every one. No Ebony. They carry every other magzine under the sun, but not Ebony. I asked too. One store owner had never heard of it!

I think he should have done an interview in a more widely distributed magazine.

I think its because its Ebony magazine that Prince chose to do this exclusive interview with. If it was any other mag like Rolling Stone. It wouldn't be all this negativity about it. Its sad but its true..

This is a pred white gay prince fan site and they can't get over the fact that he is black, straight and does not care to work with two gay white females in the same studio, or care about gay rights etc.

What else do you expect?

[Edited 6/5/10 17:28pm]

Wow someone said it! eek , it's so true but i didn't think anyone would have the balls to say it, for fear of being blacklisted or called anti-gay ....!

Disorder

I found the magizine in Manhattan.

Trust me when I tell you that you will learn NOTHING new about Prince from this article.

He does not open up about anything. No mention of a new album. He does perform a new song (Stand up & B strong) for the Ebony staff.

He talks alot about religion. The pictures are nice.

In conclusion, same old same old.

The end.

Eh, the values of Ebony? razz Well in their last issue they are celibrating the number of black CEO's in US companies. Now black capitalists can lay off black, white and latino workers alike in the current crisis. Enormous progress has been made: taking over the dominant pro-capitalist bootstrap mentality which oppresses, economically, most black people in the US. confused

I'm white but not gay, btw. lol

intresting fact i learned in school

that the guy who wrote amazing grace (John Newton who was an ex- slave trader turned minster) based the melody for amazing grace on the Pentatonic scale ( the black keys on a piano ) which are derived from the African tribal hymns that were sung by enslaved Africans on the Atlantic slave trade

so it truly is ebony and ivory living in perfect harmony biggrin
