Ebony magazine is usually put on the shelves/stands close to the second week of the month, for the following month's issue. You should be able to obtain by it by next week. However, some vendors receive it a week earlier. I've checked some stands/stores here in Manhattan, and no luck yet. Even the vendor that usually receives them early doesn't have it yet.

Also, don't subscribers get their magazine before it hits news stands? Wouldn't they be letting folks know about it when it comes out? Also, this close to release, the idea of a CD being in it would have probably leaked out by now. These days, nothing stays a secret for very long.

According to two vendors I spoke to in Manhattan, they told me the June Ebony issue, should be available sometime next week. They said the following month's issue, usually arrives around the second to third week of the current month. Right now, most vendors still have the issue on their shelves with Paula Patton on the cover. Patience people, patience. I'm planning on buying at least 3 copies.

I don't think there is any credibility to this expectation. When there is no CD people will blame Prince when Prince never announced one.

More than likely this is a basic interview with news of a forthcoming project. The very most I would expect is a link to some online songs, but that would suprise me.
