Prince should play Rock'n'roll is alive and it lives in Minneapolis

It's amazing funk rock track ,great song with great musicianship and
it's an answer to Lenny's Rock'n'roll is dead.

Shame Prince never played that great funk rocker in original arangment

I've always liked this track too. It would be cool if he performed it live but I don't think he probably will.

As a JW, Prince does not recognise countries or flags, therefore it follows he can't believe in cities or towns either. I'm afraid there's no longer any such thing as Minneapolis.

i think he's done touring cause he fears he might get lost.

That song might be Prince's worst moment ever. Talking mess on Lenny Kravitz's song, which was a part of a cool album Lenny had out at the time that was received prreety well by fans and critics alike. Lenny was on magazine covers, tv and the radio. Then out of nowhere comes Prince, kikcing in the door and trying to steal Lenny's shine. Looking back Prince was probably just jealous, but he went to the trouble of releasing a single even though he had no album coming out like he really had something important to say and it just couldn't wait. Was he about to drop another She's Always In My Hair? Or Billy Jack Bitch? Um, no. It turned out Prince had an over-saturated hi-frequency, yelling like he's off his meds track that says nothing lyrically or musically. It wasn't rock or funk or anything else. It was just drums, samples and a lot of hiss. And no one gave a damn about it. I was embarrassed after I listened to my cassette and CD singles. Prince had made some bullsht. At that point you had to wonder: Who's azz would Prince call out next and then fail to kick? Hall and Oates? Linda Ronstadt? Michael Bolton? Yanni? The emperor has no clothes.

The song came about after a post concert visit at Paisley Park by Lenny Kravitz himself.
