Feline 27:47 version I just came across this boot and would like some background on it.
It's "Feline" but extremely longer than the other boot I have. Also there are lyrics that start around the 8 minute mark. Prince is on vocals and some of the lyrics are definitely the same as Sheila E.'s ,"I'm badder than the wicked witch..." from Holly Rock. I always saw "Feline" credited as being an instrumental meant for the Family but never released. Was there more to the story? When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all  up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |

'Feline' was never meant as an instrumental.
It had full lyrics which St. Paul didn't want to sing because of his family and religious beliefs. The studio track that's circulating is a previous take before the vocals had been added. Much like 'Possessed #2' which is NOT an instrumental version, as well. The version of Feline you're listening to is a rehearsal, the full version lasting 33:12. | |
