As a gay man, I can say that this would not have been effective marketing to "draw" me into Prince. This is my least favorite era, looks and music wise. I heard the live show was great, but I've yet to see/hear a boot that convinces me of that. | |

The majority has spoken on that. You'll either believe it for yourself, or not. But having seen the whole shindig first hand, it was one of Prince's biggest achievements in a live setting. It was more grand and exciting than the Purple Rain tour ever could have been. | |

Cool pics! The "in the round" stage wasn't used for the Japan shows in 89. Would love to see a video of one of those shows to see how the show went without everyone running around. TRUE BLUE |

I agree I love this era (the album,the tour,the band) but I gotta admit,some of his outfits were outrageous,lol.He was extremely androgynous during this period. | |

Lovesexy is heavenly amazing: the album, the tour, the band , the cover art... Afaik, Lovesexy was a huge success in Europe, but failed in the US which was sad. I love everything about Lovesexy:
